The work. You’ll spend most of your time on plant floors, learning how work actually moves, then building Keel around it on the plant’s own data. A First Shift is ten days: three on the floor, five building at the cell, two running it on a real shift. You’re the person the plant calls.
What you’ll own. One deployment at a time, end to end: the data pull from ERP exports and spreadsheets, the workflow in Keel, training the people who use it, and the readout to the owner.
What the floor is like. Loud. Hot in August. Steel toes, safety glasses, site training before you touch anything. First shift starts early. You’ll eat lunch with machinists.
You’ve probably:
- Shipped software that real people use every day.
- Written code that turns messy CSVs, spreadsheets or SQL into something useful.
- Worked in or grown up around a shop, a plant, a farm, a ship or a trade.
- Explained a fix to a plant manager in five minutes, without slides.
- Got a license and a vehicle. The plants are rural.
Pay. A day rate per on-site day, paid within 7 days of each invoice. Path to full-time as engagements grow.
Apply. A link to something you’ve built, three sentences about it, and the counties you can reach.
